I was first introduced to real estate appraisal shortly after marrying my bride, Elizabeth.  Her father, Keith I. Webb, MAI, convinced me to go to work for him in La Junta, Colorado, in December 1985.  I started with residential appraising and quickly moved to agriculture appraising, capitalizing on my farm boy upbringing.  I began appraising commercial properties in 1988.  By the time we moved from La Junta to Pueblo in 1989, I owned my own appraisal company appraising all types of properties - residential, agricultural, commercial, industrial, and special use property types. In 2001, I re-opened my own company, working from our home on the St. Charles Mesa, just east of Pueblo. Over the years I have experimented with working for other companies and broadening my appraisal knowledge and experience. While gaining these essential experiences, none have been more rewarding than helping other appraisers in the Pueblo area grow in their own appraisal knowledge.
